Superb antique French locket with diamond-set sunflower centre and a gorgeous hand-engraved foliate border. It's crafted in 18 karat gold, with matte background around the central flower and matte gold back. It opens to reveal two oval locket compartments and features the French eagle head (18k gold) control mark on the bail. Dates from the latter half of the 19th century, circa 1880.
